FAQ

  • How to get to and from the Airport

There are plenty of ways to get from the Cancun airport to Palmaia. Transportation through Palmaia’s transport vendor can be booked directly here: https://www.lomasagentportal.com/28086/group/TheYearn/transfers.html or you are welcome to work with another vendor of your choosing. We recommend you making transfer arrangements in advance of your arrival to avoid being charged excessive fees. Uber is not available at the airport.

Optionally, you can view our arrival sheet and make arrangements with others on the same flight as yours to share the transport cost. You can privately message people by finding their number in our WhatsApp group. Please note that sharing transport if you are not on the same flight could cause delays or challenges if someone’s flight is delayed.

NOTE: When you land at the Cancun airport just after exiting customs and before getting outside, there will be people who will aggressively try to engage you- these are sales people. We recommend walking past them with a polite “No thank you”. Watch this short video for arrival tips.

  • Can I arrive early?

Share Your Travel Plans: Let us know your plans so we can do our best to accommodate early arrivals (though not guaranteed). Check-in is at 4:00pm. We invite you to embrace the present moment and begin your retreat experience if arriving earlier on the grounds at Palmaia by winding down at one of the many beachfront hangs with other Yearners.

  • What's the required waiver?

Ensure you can participate in the full experience by ensuring you (and your partner) have completed the waiver. This is essential for your full participation. All waivers must be done online before the start of the Yearn.

  • Are there costume themes?

The Yearn is an opportunity to be expressive and have fun with what you wear without any concern of judgement. We invite you to come play.

  • What can I expect in my suite?

The Yearn is adults only but some suites will have extra bunk beds as the resort itself has many family suites. To keep everyone in the same building, some people will receive a family suite. All the suites are large, new, and very comfortable.

  • Are there wrist bands?

We have three buildings dedicated for our guests and all of our programming is exclusively for you. The hotel however will have other non-Yearn guests on site so be sure to wear your Yearn bracelet at all times so you can identify other Yearners and we can identify you.

  • Taking medications?

If you are taking any special medications, we recommend that you do not participate in ceremonies. Please let your hive leader or a designated Elder know before you do.

  • What if I have dietary allergies?

If you or your companion have any dietary allergies, please share them with us at hello@theyearn.org ASAP if you haven’t done so already. This will allow our culinary artisans to craft nourishing meals that resonate with your body and spirit.

  • What's the schedule?

The program schedule will be released soon. You can read about our practitioners and their offerings on the Yearn guide hosted by Conscious City Guide.

  • Can I take pictures?

We want you to share your experience! We just want to provide a gentle reminder to be mindful when it comes to what you share. Some of us might not be feeling the photo op vibe so please ensure you have their permission to photograph them. There will be a professional photographer and videographer there to capture the moments for us.

  • What are the Yearn Beliefs?

We encourage you to kickstart your Yearn journey early by diving into our beliefs. Let's align our intentions and set the stage for an incredible experience together.
