At the heart of our community is this belief: the entheogens present in our world are vital to healing our hearts, elevating our souls, and connecting us with the universe.
The church structure exists to hold this work with reverence, intentionality, and integrity. The Yearn is a sacred container — held with care, guided by intention, and designed both for the conscious curious and those further in their journeys.
A quiet ask: Please honor the sacred space by refraining from publicly posting about the medicine at the Yearn.
Choosing not to participate in the sacrament program is completely celebrated. The Yearn is sober celebratory, not simply sober friendly. Every path of self-discovery is honored here, and the fullness of this experience is available to you with or without sacrament.
We strongly recommend not drinking alcohol on days when you are participating in the sacrament program. Alcohol and plant medicines do not mix well, and honoring the integrity of your experience means keeping your body's chemistry clean and open.
Five experiences. Three days. One community in the same vibration.
The doses we offer are thoughtfully calibrated. They should not overwhelm you or take you out of your body. It is an invitation to open — to feel more deeply, to listen more carefully, to connect more fully with the people around you.
All of our sacraments are sourced from trusted, vetted suppliers and personally verified and tested by our elders and medicine team. We take the integrity of what we put in our bodies as seriously as the intention behind it.
We ask that everyone on the sacrament program be on the same medicine on the same day. Our programming is intentionally designed around the community moving together in the same vibration.
If any of the following apply to you, we ask that you speak privately with one of our team before participating in any sacrament:
5-MeO-DMT is one of the most ancient and sacred plant medicines, with deep roots in indigenous ceremonial and healing traditions. At The Yearn, we work with it intranasally in a single, carefully prepared small dose — offering a slower, more spacious experience than the intensity this medicine is known for at full doses. If you have heard of 5-MeO-DMT in the context of ego dissolution or transcendence, this is something much quieter than that and designed to make you more present, open, and attuned.
Held within an immersive sound experience, the Cosmic Soundbath is an invitation to rest into stillness. At a biological level, 5-MeO-DMT acts on serotonin receptors in the brain, producing shifts in perception and awareness that at full doses can be profound and immersive. At our doses, those shifts are gentle — a softening of the edges, a quieting of mental noise, a deepened sense of presence.
A gentle softening, a quieting of mental noise, a deepened sense of presence and warmth. Most people remain fully grounded and connected throughout.
Our breathwork session on Friday evening is a sober experience — and a powerful one. Breathwork works directly with your nervous system by activating the parasympathetic system — the body's natural rest and restore response. Through conscious, intentional breathing, we can shift brain wave patterns, stimulate the vagus nerve, reduce cortisol, and access states of deep presence and emotional release that are otherwise difficult to reach. A meta-analysis published in Scientific Reports confirmed that breathwork significantly reduces stress, anxiety, and depression compared to controls — without any substance at all.
All sacrament timing is intentionally scheduled so that any effects from earlier medicines are well past peak before this session begins. This sequencing is deliberate. Breathwork is its own medicine, and we honor it as such.
Tingling, warmth, or waves of emotion as the body releases. A shift from mental chatter into physical presence. Many people experience a natural high — clarity, openness, and deep peace — that continues for hours after the session closes.
New Brew is a legal, non-alcoholic seltzer combining kratom leaf extract and kava root — two plants with centuries of traditional use in Southeast Asia and the Pacific, valued for their gentle mood-lifting and calming properties. It is third-party lab tested, alcohol-free, and legal for adults 21+. Think of it as a social tonic: a way to soften into the moment without alcohol. There is also Earl Grey Tea in the formulation so there are tea levels of caffeine. We recommend not drinking more than two New Brews.
Per CanA non-inebriating bliss — an attitude shift and a balanced feeling of calm, clarity, and connection. Most people will feel the effects after one serving. Sip slowly and assess your tolerance, as everyone metabolizes New Brew differently.
Psilocybin is the naturally occurring compound found in certain mushrooms, used for centuries in ceremonial and healing contexts. Research published in PNAS found that psilocybin use in intentional group settings enhances mood specifically through increased social connectedness — the community context isn't incidental, it's where the medicine does its deepest work. Ongoing clinical studies at institutions like the Johns Hopkins Center for Psychedelic and Consciousness Research continue to show meaningful results for depression, anxiety, and overall wellbeing.
Psilocybin works by temporarily quieting the brain's default mode network — the system responsible for our habitual sense of self and how we relate to the world. A 2024 study published in Nature found that even small doses produce measurable shifts in brain connectivity that can persist for weeks, creating space for new patterns of feeling, thinking, and connecting.
A gentle heightening of the senses, emotional openness, and a deepened appreciation for the people and beauty around you. At these doses, most people feel warm, present, and more connected to themselves and others.
MDMA is formally classified by researchers as an "entactogen" — a word meaning to touch within — for its documented ability to open the heart, quiet the inner critic, and create conditions for genuine emotional connection. Controlled studies at doses consistent with ours confirm it enhances emotional empathy and prosocial behavior, reduces interpersonal defenses, and makes honest, warm communication easier. At The Yearn, we work with it as a communal experience — coming together as a group in the same vibration as we move into our final evening together.
MDMA works by flooding the brain with serotonin — the neurochemical associated with mood, warmth, and wellbeing — while also triggering the release of oxytocin, often called the bonding hormone. A 2025 study in the Journal of Psychopharmacology confirmed that these combined neurochemical effects directly enhance sociability, trust, and feelings of closeness with others.
Warmth, openness, and a deep sense of connection to the people around you — making it easier to be honest, loving, and fully present with others.
Note that even with light doses, these sacraments and the breathwork could activate intense emotions or bring resolved trauma to the surface. Further, some people can experience stomach discomfort. This is often strongest at the initial onset of the sacrament.
We have two layers of care present throughout the event. Skilled, loving support is part of what makes this container truly safe.

If any of the following apply to you, we ask that you speak privately with one of our team before participating in any sacrament:
The Yearn is designed to open you. The cumulative effect of deep connection, breathwork, and perceptual sacrament use can move things within you in ways that continue to unfold long after you leave. This is a gift — and it deserves tending.
Integration is not just for peak experiences. All of us — whether we participated in the sacrament program or not — benefit from pausing to reflect on what moved through us.
We are with you not just during these days, but after them.
